Much of Van Zandt's life was spent touring various dive bars, often living in cheap motel rooms and backwoods cabins. For much of the 1970s, he lived in a simple shack without electricity or a telephone, and along with his many abuses of substance, he was known to knock back his fair share of the ol' falling down water, and his staple tipple was Whiskey & Coke. Rumour has it he even tried injecting it on occasion, for shits and giggles. A troubled genius for sure, but a true genius all the same. This T-Shirt raises a glass, or rather a bottle and a can, to salute him.
